The Future of Freedom Foundation and Young Americans for Liberty present a one-day conference on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin at the LBJ Auditorium in the Lyndon B. Johnson Library on Saturday, April 11, 2015, that will address the war on drugs and the war on terrorism.
“Stop the Wars on Drugs and Terrorism” will feature an all-star lineup of three dynamic speakers: Ron Paul, Glenn Greenwald, and Radley Balko.
Each speaker will talk for 45 minutes followed by a 30-minute Q&A panel discussion.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

SPEAKERS
Radley Balko blogs about criminal justice, the drug war and civil liberties for The Washington Post. He was previously a senior writer and investigative reporter at the Huffington Post. He is the author of Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America’s Police Forces, and his work has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and the Mississippi Supreme Court. He also writes about the music and culture of Nashville, Tennessee, where he lives. A graduate of Indiana University, Radley has also been a senior editor at Reason magazine, a policy analyst at the Cato Institute and an opinion columnist for FoxNews.com.
Jeff Frazee is Executive Director of Young Americans for Liberty. Jeff served as National Youth Coordinator for Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee and worked exclusively with Congressman Paul to start the Campaign for Liberty and host the Rally for the Republic. Prior to the campaign, Jeff worked as a Deputy Campus Services Coordinator for the Leadership Institute and interned for Ron Paul’s congressional office in the summer of 2005. He is a graduate of Texas A&M, Class of 2005, with a degree in Telecommunications & Media Studies and a minor in Political Science.
Glenn Greenwald is a journalist, constitutional lawyer, and author of four New York Times best-selling books on politics and law. His most recent book, No Place to Hide, is about the U.S. surveillance state and his experiences reporting on the Snowden documents around the world. Prior to his collaboration with Pierre Omidyar, Glenn’s column was featured at the Guardian US and Salon. He was the debut winner, along with Amy Goodman, of the Park Center I.F. Stone Award for Independent Journalism in 2008, and also received the 2010 Online Journalism Award for his investigative work on the abusive detention conditions of Chelsea Manning. For his 2013 NSA reporting, he received the George Polk award for national security reporting; the Gannett Foundation award for investigative journalism and the Gannett Foundation watchdog journalism award; the Esso Premio for Excellence in Investigative Reporting in Brazil (the first non-Brazilian to win), and the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Pioneer Award. Along with Laura Poitras, Foreign Policy magazine named him one of the top 100 Global Thinkers for 2013. The NSA reporting he led for the Guardian US was awarded the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
Jacob G. Hornberger is founder and president of The Future of Freedom Foundation. He was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and received his B.A. in economics from Virginia Military Institute and his law degree from the University of Texas. He was a trial attorney for twelve years in Texas. He also was an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas, where he taught law and economics. In 1987, Mr. Hornberger left the practice of law to become director of programs at the Foundation for Economic Education. He has advanced freedom and free markets on talk-radio stations all across the country as well as on Fox News’ Neil Cavuto and Greta van Susteren shows and he appeared as a regular commentator on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s show Freedom Watch.
Ron Paul is a former congressman of Texas who enjoys a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today. Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. While in Congress, he was known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives, never voting for legislation unless the proposed measure was expressly authorized by the Constitution.
