To Our Supporters:
As a result of legal consultation and advice from a Washington, D.C., law firm that specializes in election law and non-profit foundations, The Future of Freedom Foundation has adopted the following policies for whenever an employee of FFF becomes a candidate for public office:
- The employee will be permitted to continue working in his same capacity at FFF. However, if his political activities interfere with the fulfilling of his responsibilities at FFF, his pay will be reduced accordingly.
- If the employee’s responsibilities include writing articles or making presentations for FFF, he will be permitted to continue doing so, subject to the following restriction: His articles and presentations will focus only on issues and will not mention political parties or current candidates, officials, or public figures of political parties. Moreover, any FFF-sponsored speaker participating in FFF programs or conferences in which such employee is also participating will be bound by the same restriction.
- The employee will not make editorial decisions as to articles that are accepted for publication by FFF.
4. FFF will maintain a wall of separation between foundation activities and the employee’s political activities.
