Tonight is the 8th week of Future of Freedom, the new Internet show that I’m co-hosting with Scott Horton on Thursday nights at 8 pm ET over at Liberty.me. It’s a weekly half-hour show in which Scott asks me to comment on various issues of the day, with him providing his own commentary as part of the interview process.
Scott is the longtime host of the Scott Horton Show, which has the most unbelievably impressive array of guests on a daily basis. He also works for Antiwar.com and is one of the real experts on foreign policy within the libertarian movement.
Thus, our new show, Future of Freedom orients toward foreign-policy issues, but not exclusively. The entire gamut of libertarian issues is open for discussion. For example, the very first segment focused on the longstanding debate within the libertarian movement between the advocates of limited government and the advocates of no government.
The show is live and people can tune in and send Scott questions. Then here at FFF we post the video of the show in our daily publication FFF Daily. All the shows are archived at Liberty.me.

As most of you know, my other show, The Libertarian Angle, is sponsored by FFF. It’s also weekly and is prerecorded and posted in FFF Daily, usually on Tuesdays. (This week, it appears tomorrow, Friday.) All the shows are archived in the Video section of FFF’s website.
My co-host for the Libertarian Angle is Richard Ebeling, who teaches economics at the Citadel. Longtime supporters of FFF will recall that Richard was vice-president of academic affairs here at FFF for ten years, from its inception in 1993 until he became president of The Foundation for Economic Education in 2003. Prior to becoming FEE president, Richard was the Ludwig von Mises Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College for many years.
Thus, Richard and I orient toward discussing economic and domestic issues, but not exclusively. Richard is also an expert in libertarian foreign policy. In fact, he was the co-editor of FFF’s books The Failure of America’s Foreign Wars and Liberty, Security, and the War on Terrorism.
If you have any recommendations on how we can improve either of these shows, please drop me an email (jhornberger@fff.org).
Ideas matter. They have power. They have consequences. That’s the purpose of these two shows — to spread ideas on liberty with the aim of moving America closer to a free, prosperous, harmonious, and peaceful society. I hope you’re tuning in and are finding them valuable. Please let others know about them!
