FFF vice-president Sheldon Richman’s monthly webinar at Liberty.me.
It is not possible to favor both freedom and war. War goes with tyranny, despotism, and socialism, which is why the liberal tradition has been unflinching in its support of peace. Strangely, there are periods in which this truth has been forgotten or suppressed: 19th century British colonialism and 20th century American imperialism. But if you look closely at both cases, we find excellent illustrations of how you can’t be both pro-freedom and pro-war. On October 21, 2014, The Future of Freedom Foundation’s vice president Sheldon Richman delivered this important and timely talk at Liberty.me to discuss the antiwar message, Herbert Spencer, Leonard Liggio, and more!
