Our speaker: Mark Skousen, the greatest libertarian philosophical entrepreneur in history — and one of the most renowned Austrian scholars in the world.

Mark is the organizer of the famed FreedomFest, which draws thousands of libertarian and conservative attendees every July. Consisting of dozens (or maybe hundreds) of sessions and concurrent sessions on just about every imaginable political and economic issue, FreedomFest has become one of the most enjoyable and informative conferences in the history of the libertarian movement.
He is also the author of 25 books on finance, economics, and religion, including his great economics work The Structure of Production. His financial books include The Maxims of Wall Street and A Viennese Waltz Down Wall Street: Austrian Economics for Investors.
Soon after I discovered libertarianism in the late 1970s, I discovered the “hard-money” movement, of which Mark was a member. I quickly subscribed to his newsletter Forecasts and Strategies, which was founded in 1980. I cannot begin to tell you how much I learned about Austrian economics in that newsletter. It quickly became one of the most widely read investment newsletters in the country.
Of course, we will be recording Mark’s presentation and posting it on our website. But if you’re able to make it to the live performance, I think you’ll find it much more enjoyable, especially the Q&A session following Mark’s talk. The presentation will last no more than an hour.
