Over the years, as I was reading books on the Kennedy assassination, I gradually became convinced that it was a highly sophisticated regime-change operation orchestrated and carried out by the U.S. national security establishment. One of the best books I read in this process was JFK and Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters by James W. Douglas. It is a book that I always recommend to people who are first learning the truth about the assassination.
But while I was convinced that the Pentagon and the CIA were behind the assassination, I wasn’t convinced beyond a reasonable doubt, which is the standard of proof used in criminal cases.
Then I read Douglas Horne’s five-volume book Inside the Assassination Records Review Board. Reading that book caused me to cross the line into being convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that the U.S. national-security establishment did, in fact, orchestrate and carry out the assassination — and the cover-up of the assassination.
Horne’s five-volume book is not an easy read. There were parts of it that I didn’t understand, for example things relating to photography and x-rays. But I have no doubt that anyone who keeps going and reads all five volumes will, at the end, reach the same conclusion that I reached — that the JFK assassination and its cover-up were, in fact, a very sophisticated U.S. national-security state regime-change operation. If you would like to first read a summary of Horne’s book, I recommend my book The Kennedy Autopsy, which is FFF’s all-time best-seller. I dedicated the book to Horne.
There are, of course, many brilliant researchers and writers who have written fantastic books and articles and delivered great talks on the Kennedy assassination. But it is my conviction that Horne, who served on the staff of the ARRB back in the 1990s, is the one researcher that has put the entire thing together in a cohesive, logical whole. It does not surprise me at all that he received a standing ovation at a dinner talk he delivered at a JFK conference last November in Dallas.
Several years ago, after reading Horne’s Inside the ARRB, I went to a talk that he was giving to a university class in Washington, D.C. After the talk, I went up to him and invited him to record a presentation on the medical evidence in the autopsy that the U.S. military conducted on JFK’s body on the evening of the assassination. He agreed to do so. It became a 5-part video entitled Altered History: Exposing Deceit and Deception in the JFK Assassination Medical Evidence. It is the most downloaded video in FFF’s 36-year history.
Horne also authored FFF’s insightful book JFK’s War with the U.S. National-Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated, which explores the motive behind this particular regime-change operation.
Horne also played a big role in helping me with the research and writing of my most recent book, An Encounter with Evil: The Abraham Zapruder Story, which details a critically important role that the CIA played in the cover-up of the assassination on the weekend that it took place. I dedicated that book to Horne also.
The following is a partial compilation of some of Horne’s work on the JFK assassination. I’ll be adding things I missed as time goes on. If you want a full understanding of the assassination, I recommend reading and watching everything Doug Horne has written and said about the assassination.
