In the run-up to the 60th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination this November 22, I am pleased to announce that The Future of Freedom Foundation has just posted on Amazon an audiobook version of my book An Encounter with Evil: The Abraham Zapruder Story. It can be purchased here.
This comes on the heels of my recent interview with C-SPAN Book TV about my book. I did that interview at FreedomFest in Memphis last July. You can view it here.
I also did a presentation at FreedomFest on FFF’s all-time best-selling book, The Kennedy Autopsy, which drew a standing-room only crowd — and where I sold out of two big boxes of An Encounter with Evil. You can listen to that talk here.
It is obvious that there is still widespread interest in the Kennedy assassination among the American people. And rightly so! Until America comes to grips with the fact that this assassination and cover-up were orchestrated and carried out by the U.S. national-security establishment (i.e., the Pentagon and the CIA), we will never be able to get our nation back on the right track.
Why is An Encounter with Evil: The Abraham Zapruder Story a critically important book about the Kennedy assassination? Because it is the only evidentiary proof that establishes criminal culpability on the part of the CIA in the Kennedy assassination.
Yes, it is true that there is widespread supposition that the CIA was embroiled in the assassination, just as it was embroiled in other regime-change operations, including through assassination, in Iran (1953), Guatemala (1954), Cuba (1961-1963), and, later, Chile (1970-1973).
And yes, there is evidence that establishes motive beyond a reasonable doubt. After the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy was determined to move America in an entirely different direction from the direction that the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA were determined to continue moving the nation. As Kennedy stated in his famous Peace Speech at American University a few months before the assassination, he was committed to establishing a relationship of peaceful and friendly coexistence with the communist world, including Russia and the Soviet Union. The national-security establishment was convinced that Kennedy’s vision posed a grave threat to U.S. national security.
However, supposition and motive are still not enough to convict the CIA of the crime itself. And the fact is that there is no direct evidence of CIA involvement in the crime.
That’s where my book comes into play. As I detail in An Encounter with Evil: The Abraham Zapruder Story, the evidence establishes beyond a reasonable doubt that the CIA secretly took possession of the famous Zapruder film of the assassination on Saturday, November 23, the day after the assassination. On that day, it secretly had the film delivered to its National Photographic Interpretation Center (NPIC) in Washington, D.C.
It then took the film to its top-secret film operation called Hawkeyeworks in Rochester, New York, which was secretly located in the research and development section of Kodak’s national headquarters. That facility could do everything with film that Hollywood could do. It was there that CIA film experts secretly used what was called an “optical printer” to make a top-quality altered, fraudulent copy of the film, which they then delivered back to the NPIC in Washington on Sunday night. It was that altered, fraudulent copy that became the new “original” film. (Note: There is no evidence that Kodak itself was involved in the production of the altered, fraudulent copy of the Zapruder film.)
Why is this important? Because there is no innocent explanation for a secretly produced altered, fraudulent copy of a film of the assassination. None! It necessarily embroils the CIA in the assassination itself, just as the fraudulent autopsy that the military conducted on President Kennedy’s body on Friday night necessarily embroils the military in the assassination itself. (See my book The Kennedy Autopsy.)
