On November 14, 2013 Tyler Cowen gave the following speech as part of the Economic Liberty Lecture Series which is co-sponsored by The Future of Freedom Foundation and the George Mason Economics Society. Mr. Cowen’s talk is entitled “Is Average Over in an Age of Great Stagnation?”

Tyler Cowen has a Ph.D in economics from Harvard University and is currently a professor of economics at George Mason University. He has edited the volume Public Goods and Market Failures, and has written Explorations in the New Monetary Economics with Randall Kroszner. He has just finished a book, Markets and Cultural Voices, April 2005, and has three other books in print: In Praise of Commercial CultureWhat Price Fame?, and Creative Destruction. Tyler publishes daily at the The MarginalRevolution blog and has a very popular ethnic dining guide for Washington, DC.
